Frequently Asked Questions

Imaging time is generally allocated to users in a fixed manner on a first-come, first-serve basis. The slots are reviewed each month and adjustments are made as activity increases or decreases. Investigators who book a permanent slot are responsible for paying for the slot whether they use it or not. The MRRC is not responsible for cancellations with less than 1 month's notice. Please note:

1. Any studies that are cancelled due to scanner malfunction will not be charged.

2. To facilitate trading of slots among users, we have created an email listserver which will reach all of the current users. If you have a slot that you cannot use, you can post it to the MR community by emailing fmri_slots@biomed.med.yale.edu.
   If another paid investigator claims your slot, they will be billed for it. If no one claims the slot, you will still be billed for it.  This policy maximizes system availability and ensures a sound financial basis on which to fund the equipment.

All 3 behavioral testing rooms and the mock scanner room can be reserved using the online booking system. Yahoo calendars have been created for booking time slots for each of these rooms. For reserving time in the behavioral testing rooms at the MRRC, visit http://calendar.yahoo.com/.

Please Note: Usernames and passwords for these calendars are not posted here for security reasons. Please contact Jeetu (jitendra.bhawnani@yale.edu) to request this information for the room that you are interested in reserving.
